Khan Academy Ted Talk

I personally LOVE Khan Academy. It keeps me mentally sane. I enjoyed hearing about the background of how Khan Academy came to be. Khan Academy is a website that consists of video lessons in several subjects to help students or adults learn. The website provides quizzes and homework to backup the learning. 

I Love Khan Academy because it allows me to learn things at my pace and on my time. I can even learn in my bed. It gives me the ability to pause, backtrack, and learn/ relearn things at my own pace. It enables students to learn lessons at home in their own control. Then back in school, teachers can learn and reinforce the learning in the classroom to assure everyone understands.

As Mr. Khan said, in classrooms its more of a "one size fits all" lecture, and students miss out on key fundamentals they need. Then, teachers build and build on that and kids miss out on certain things and fall behind. This enables kids to learn more and better. Teachers and students can track their learning (or students learning) to see how each student progresses. I love khan academy. Everyone needs to try it!
